The all-new Ford B-Max has been unveiled to the world's media at the Geneva Motor Show today. Along with it, the American company has also released a bunch of new images and videos for all to feast their eyes upon.
The most important feature of the new MPV is the missing center pillar that we would normally expect to see running from the ceiling to the floor on the side of the car between the front and rear seats. The pillar is required for car safety, so the Ford engineers have integrated the feature into the rear sliding doors. You can see how it works for yourself in the video above.
The engine line-up comprises of four petrol and two diesel options. On the petrol side, the B-Max line-up includes a three-cylinder 1.0-liter Ford EcoBoost engine that is tuned to either 100 PS ( 74 kW / 99 hp ) or 120 PS ( 88 kW / 118 hp ). There is also a 1.4-liter Duratec unit with 90 PS ( 66 kW / 89 hp ) and a bigger 1.6-liter Duratec unit with 105 PS ( 77 kW / 104 hp ).
The diesel options start with a 1.5 liter engine producing 75 PS ( 55 kW / 74 hp ) and a 1.6 liter version with 95 PS ( 70 kW / 94 hp ) completes the line-up.
