BMW M135i - Nürburgring Nordschleife BTG in 8:05 - YouTube
The 2013 BMW M135i was able to lap the Nordschleife in 8 minutes and 5 seconds.
The lap was done by amateur driver Pavel Janda from AutoForum.cz in a stock car fitted with a six-speed manual gearbox and riding on Michelin Pilot SuperSport tires. The car was quicker than the Porsche Cayman S, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG, BMW Z4 M Coupe and BMW M5 (E60).
To refresh your memory, the M135i is the first model in the 1-Series lineup to get the "M" performance designation. It has a 6-cylinder, 3.0-liter engine producing 315 hp (235 kW) and a peak torque of 332 lb-ft (450 Nm). 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) takes 4.9 seconds, before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph (255 km/h).
It is available in both three- and five-door versions and comes with an aero body kit, the firm's xDrive all-wheel drive system, uprated suspension and a bespoke interior cabin.
