Headed out to Goliad, TX yesterday for the Texas Mile. Held twice a year, the format is pretty simple...go as fast as you can in a standing mile. The organizers said they got a little over 1000 runs in between Friday and Saturday so there is almost ALWAYS something fun going down the runway.
This HPA built Scirocco now resides about 5 miles from me here in Houston. It made a couple of passes before we got out there and remained parked the rest of the day.
This Heffner tuned Ford GT ran 244mph.
This female driven Panamera Turbo ran 168 mph.
Guess what powers this 199mph Mustang?
Nope, you'd be wrong. It's a Duramax Diesel from hell.
The AMS Evo made a 228mph pass...but not before blowing a hole in the block just before the 1 mile marker
Fastest run of the day went to this guy.
Fastest Bandit in the world... 199mph.
A couple of twin turbo Lambos.
