The ECU will be supplied with a start-up map*.
The 600 Series ECU is fuel and ignition - semi-sequential fuel injection for up to 4 cylinder engines, distributorless or distributor ignition for up to 4 cylinders.
You have two choices with the wiring loom. A basic race spec wiring loom is a general purpose heat shrunk loom built to a high standard with all of the connectors already joined and labeled, allowing you to simply plug onto the engine for a quick and easy, professional look installation. This is a built to order loom
The Semi Assembled Loom is ideal for a tight budget or if you wish to build your own loom to the specific dimensions of their vehicle. The loom is supplied with the ECU plug end completed with 3m of colour coded cable. This cable must be cut to length, the plugs connected (the plugs are separate part numbers so must also be ordered), then the wires loomed. The standard semi-assembled harness is supplied with all of the essential engine running cables. If you wish to control an air bypass valve or use any of the auxiliary functions, the Aux Wire Pack is needed. The finish of this loom is as good as the time you put into it.
You can remove the original MAP sensor, you do not need to replace the MAP sensor if the engine is not a turbo, because you can control the engine RPM against throttle position.
All standard sensors can be reused.
Later engines can have an unusual crank position sensor connector which will have to be reused.
